Unlocked iPhone 6S and 6S Plus now available from Apple

If you want an iPhone 6S or 6S Plus completely free of carrier association, now’s your time — Apple has started selling unlocked units at its online store, as spotted by 9to5Mac. That’s sooner than they often become available; last year it took until January for Apple to offer SIM-free iPhone 6 models.

Of course, you’ll need to pay full-price up front, just as you would if you were buying a contract-free T-Mobile phone. Pricing starts at $649 for the iPhone 6S and $749 for the 6S Plus, with most models currently showing shipping dates of between 2-3 weeks.
